Equatorial Guinea's banana production is expected to increase to around 35,000 tonnes by 2026. This figure is 1.1% higher than the 2021 figure of 33,000 tonnes. Since 1966, the amount of bananas produced in the country has risen by 1.5% each year. It was the 64th highest banana producer in 2021, behind Suriname at 33,000 tonnes. China, Indonesia and Brazil were the second, third and fourth largest producers respectively.
