Tunisian demand for bananas is expected to reach 46,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 44,000 metric tons in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 0.9%. Since 2017, Tunisian consumption of bananas has risen by 6% each year. In 2021, Tunisia was ranked number 90 in worldwide banana consumption. Honduras had the highest consumption with 44,000 tons, followed by China, Indonesia, and Brazil in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
