This is a 0.3% growth compared to 2021, when the country produced 401,680 metric tons. Since 1966, the production of bananas has decreased by 0.4% annually. In 2021, Spain was 33rd in the world for banana production, with Madagascar again in first place with 401,680 metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil took the second, third and fourth positions respectively.
