Slovene demand for bananas is projected to remain unchanged through 2026. In 2021, the country consumed 27 thousand metric tons of the fruit, the same as the previous year. This marks a 1.2% decrease since 2017. Kazakhstan led the world in banana consumption, with 27 thousand metric tons in 2021. China, Indonesia and Brazil followed, ranking second, third and fourth, respectively.
