Banana production in Puerto Rico is set to grow at a modest rate of 0.9% annually, from 77,050 metric tons in 2021 to 81,210 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, the Caribbean island has seen a steady increase of 0.4% year on year. Last year, it held the 61st spot in the global ranking of producers, just behind Lebanon. China, Indonesia, and Brazil remain in the top three spots.
