Egypt's wine production is projected to decline slightly over the next five years. By 2028, the country is expected to produce approximately 5,630 metric tons of wine, down from about 5,690 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 0.2%. Despite this projected decline, Egypt's wine supply has seen a modest increase of 0.1% annually since 1966. As of 2023, Egypt ranked 51st in global wine production, with Lebanon surpassing it by producing the same 5,690 metric tons. In the global context, France, Spain, and the United States held the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the consumption front, Egypt's wine consumption remained steady at around 5,000 metric tons in both 2017 and 2018. This stability contrasts with the slight fluctuations projected in production over the coming years.
