Mongolia's wine consumption is projected to rise to approximately 3,200 metric tons by 2028, up from 3,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.1%. Notably, since 2019, the demand for wine in Mongolia has remained steady. In 2023, Mongolia ranked 90th globally in terms of wine consumption, with Armenia slightly ahead at a similar consumption level of 3,000 metric tons. Leading the global rankings were France, the United States, and Italy in second, third, and fourth places, respectively. On the production front, Mongolia's wine output was close to 110 metric tons in 2018, an increase from 103 metric tons in 2017. This modest growth reflects the country's ongoing efforts to boost its domestic wine industry.
