This represents an annual decrease of about 8%. Since 2019, the country's demand for wine has already been on a downward trend, decreasing by an average of 4.4% each year. In the global rankings for wine consumption in 2023, Ghana stood at the 84th position. Zambia matched Ghana's consumption with 4,000 metric tons, positioning itself just ahead in the rankings. Leading the list, France, the United States, and Italy secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
