This is a decrease of 2.5% from the 2021 figure of 1,740 metric tons. Since 1966, production has decreased by 3% year on year. In 2021, Malta was the 59th largest wine producer, with Zimbabwe producing slightly more at 1,740 metric tons. France, Spain and the United States were the top three producers in 2021.
