Since 1997, Moldova's wine production has seen a yearly decline of 0.4%. In the 2023 rankings, Moldova was the 18th largest wine producer, with Austria surpassing it at 175,000 metric tons. France, Spain, and the United States occupied the second, third, and fourth positions in wine production globally.
