Armenian wine consumption is projected to remain stable at approximately 4,000 metric tons by 2028, unchanged from 2023. This trend reflects no significant growth or decline in demand since 2019. In 2023, Armenia ranked 84th in global wine consumption, with São Tomé and Príncipe surpassing it by consuming an equal amount. Meanwhile, France, the United States, and Italy held the second, third, and fourth positions in the global wine consumption rankings, respectively. On the production front, Armenian wine output is forecasted to increase to 10,500 metric tons by 2028, up from around 9,600 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.4%. Since 1997, Armenian wine production has witnessed an average yearly increase of 1.6%. In 2023, Armenia was the 46th largest wine producer globally, with Cuba slightly ahead, also at 9,600 metric tons. France, Spain, and the United States occupied the second, third, and fourth spots in the global wine production rankings, respectively.
