Colombian eggplant production is set to reach 8,500 metric tons by 2026, a 3.1% increase each year on average from the 7,070 metric tons recorded in 2021. Since 1966, the country has seen a 13.7% year-on-year rise in production. Colombia was the 50th largest producer in 2021, with Bulgaria ahead in the ranking at 7,070 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran were second, third and fourth, respectively.
