Guyanese eggplant production is on the rise. In 2021, production hit 56,120 metric tons, up from the 2002 figure of 4.7% year on year. This year, the country ranked 27th, with Greece in the lead at 56,120 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran occupied the second, third and fourth positions respectively. By 2026, production is expected to reach 69,670 metric tons, a 3.6% year on year average rate increase.
