Peruvian eggplant production is expected to reach over 415 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country produced 392 metric tons, growing at a rate of 1.1% annually since 2004. That year, Peru was the 77th largest producer. Antigua and Barbuda, however, ranked ahead of Peru in 2021 with 392 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th most prolific producers, respectively.
