Morocco's eggplant production is on the rise. In 2021, the country produced 66,870 metric tons of eggplants, a 24.1% increase from the amount produced in 1966. Morocco ranked 22nd in production that year, behind Romania which produced the most at 66,870 metric tons. India, Egypt, and Iran held the next three spots in the ranking. By 2026, Morocco's eggplant production is expected to reach 75,420 metric tons—a 2% annual growth rate.
