Greek eggplant production is forecast to decline 1.1% per year, on average, to reach 52,790 metric tons by 2026. This would be a decrease of 3,610 metric tons from 2021, when production was 56,400 metric tons. Since 1966, supply of eggplants in Greece has declined 0.1% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 26th in the world, overtaken by Ghana’s 56,400 metric tons. India, Egypt, and Iran held the top three positions, respectively.
