The Netherlands is set to become one of the world's leading producers of eggplant. By 2026, eggplant production is estimated to reach 71,610 metric tons, a 1.8% year-on-year growth rate since 1966. Ukraine was the top producer in 2021, with 64,490 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
