Hungarian eggplant production is expected to reach nearly 490 metric tons by 2026, down 7.6% from 2021. It has been dropping by 3% annually since 2008. Hungary is now the 73rd biggest eggplant producer, having been overtaken by Haiti in 2021. India, Egypt and Iran are the top three countries in the ranking.
