Romania's eggplant production is set to decrease by 4.9% year-on-year in the next five years, dropping from 76,620 metric tons this year to 57,350 metric tons in 2026. Since 1996, Romanian supply has dropped by 8% year on year. In 2021, Romania ranked 21st in eggplant production, while Iraq overtook them with 76,620 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
