Sri Lanka is set to increase its eggplant production by 1.3% year on year, reaching a total of 147,550 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, production has grown 1.5% annually. In 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 13th in global eggplant production, with 136,930 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran came in at second, third and fourth respectively.
