Indonesia's eggplant production is set to increase by 1.4% year on year, according to the latest figures. In 2021, the country produced 591,850 metric tons, placing it fifth in the world. Iran was the top producer with 643,350 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran were respectively ranked second, third and fourth. Since 1966, Indonesian eggplant production has risen by 3% year on year and is expected to reach 643,350 metric tons by 2026.
