Oman is set to become one of the leading eggplant producers in the world in the next few years. By 2026, the country's eggplant production is projected to reach 45,370 metric tons. Since 1995, Oman's supply has increased by almost 30 percent year-on-year. In 2021, it ranked 33rd in the world, with Saudi Arabia overtaking it at 36,610 metric tons. India, Egypt and Iran followed in second, third and fourth respectively.
