New Zealand's avocado production is expected to reach over 40,500 metric tons by 2026. This year, it's estimated to be around 36,000 metric tons, an increase of 2.1% from last year. Since 1979, New Zealand's supply of avocados has grown by an average of 0.5% each year. In 2021, it ranked 25th in the world, just behind Ivory Coast with 35,830 metric tons. The Dominican Republic, Peru and Colombia came in second, third and fourth respectively.
