Ethiopia's consumption of beans is expected to reach nearly 300,000 metric tons by 2026. This is up from 265,000 metric tons in 2021, representing a 0.9% annual growth rate. Since 2017, Ethiopian demand has grown by 0.6% per year. North Korea overtook Ethiopia in 2021, with 265,000 metric tons, and Brazil, Mexico and the United States were the next three countries in the ranking. Ethiopian Bean Production is also on the rise, set to reach 9,350 metric tons by 2026, up from 8,400 metric tons in 2021, and growing at a 1.8% CAGR. Since 2003, Ethiopian supply has increased by an average of 2.8% per year.
