Chinese beans consumption is predicted to drop slightly in the next five years, from 106 thousand metric tons in 2021 to around 105 thousand metric tons by 2026. Since 2017, Chinese demand for beans has remained relatively stable, and the country ranked 26th in 2021. El Salvador topped the list with 106 thousand metric tons, followed by Brazil, Mexico and the United States. Meanwhile, Chinese beans production is expected to grow at an average rate of 2.1% year-on-year, from 22.9 million metric tons in 2021 to almost 26 million metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, Chinese supply has been increasing steadily, at an average rate of 3.3% year-on-year.
