Peruvian consumption of beans is projected to increase slightly over the next five years, reaching 69,030 metric tons by 2026. This is up 0.5% from the 67,000 metric tons consumed in 2021. This puts Peru in 35th place, overtaken by Chad in 2021. The top three countries in this ranking are Brazil, Mexico and the United States. Peruvian production of beans is expected to fall by 2.1% year on year, to 9,640 metric tons in 2026 from 10,920 metric tons in 2021. This marks a decrease of 5.8% since 1966.
