Bulgaria was the biggest consumer at 10,000 metric tons in 2021, followed by Brazil, Mexico and the US. Meanwhile, Irish production of beans is expected to reach 1,730 metric tons by 2026 – a 0.2% year-on-year increase since 1993. The UK produced the most in 2021 with 1,720 metric tons, followed by the US, France and Canada.
