Greek bean consumption is projected to decrease slightly, reaching 23,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 59th in terms of bean consumption, with 24,000 metric tons, slightly behind the United Arab Emirates. Brazil, Mexico, and the United States ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in this ranking respectively. Greek bean production is also set to decline in the coming five years, reaching 35,670 metric tons by 2026 from 43,160 metric tons in 2021, at a rate of 3.2% year on year. Since 1966, the country's production of beans has decreased by 3.7% year on year.
