In 2021, Egypt was the world's 12th largest producer of walnuts, with 24,060 metric tons produced. This was slightly lower than Greece, which overtook to become the 11th largest producer at 24,060 metric tons. The United States, Iran and Mexico were the world's top three producers of walnuts, ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
