Hungarian walnut production is projected to hit 7,450 metric tons by 2026, according to a new report. The country's supply has been growing steadily since 1966, increasing by an average of 1.8% each year. In 2021, Hungary ranked 27th in global walnut production, though it was overtaken by Kyrgyzstan, which produced 6,920 metric tons. The United States, Iran and Mexico ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
