In 2019, Slovakia's walnut production dropped 33.3% to 20,000 metric tons, compared to 30,000 metric tons in 2018. This marked a significant decrease from the 32% year-on-year increase since 1998. Slovakia ranked 51st in the world for walnut production, with Luxembourg coming in ahead with 20,000 metric tons. The United States, Iran and Mexico were ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
