Sweden is set to become the second-largest exporter of trout by 2026, with exports reaching 15.1 million kilograms. Since 1997, this has decreased by 4.3% year-on-year. Norway leads the ranking, with 13.2 million kilograms in 2021, followed by the United Kingdom and Italy. Swedish trout imports are also expected to increase over the same period, reaching 9.1 million kilograms by 2026. Since 1997, however, demand has decreased by 5.7% year-on-year.
