This is a significant increase since 2005, when imports were up 2.1% year-on-year. Polish exports of trout are expected to hit 3.2 million kilograms by 2026, increasing by 4.4% year-on-year since 2021. This is a huge increase since 2007, when exports were up 17.1% year-on-year. In 2021, Poland was the ninth-largest exporter of trout, with Finland in first place at 2.4 million kilograms. Sweden, the United Kingdom and Italy were the second, third and fourth-largest exporters respectively.
