This would represent a 44.1% decrease on average each year. Since 2001, Macedonia's demand for trout has been in decline; a 6.9% year-on-year decrease has been observed. In 2018, the country ranked 59th in the world for trout imports, with Zambia overtaking them at 220 kilograms. The top three importers of trout were Sweden, the UK, and Italy.
