Singapore is set to become a major exporter of trout by 2026. Exports of trout from Singapore are set to reach 221,750 kilograms by 2026, up 3.2% year-on-year on average from 180,180 kilograms in 2021. Since 1994, Singapore's supply of the fish has grown at an average rate of 0.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Singapore was ranked 26th in the world for trout exports, with France overtaking it to take the top spot with 180,180 kilograms. Sweden, the UK and Italy respectively came in second, third and fourth in this ranking. Imports of trout in Singapore, meanwhile, are projected to reach 1,078,000 kilograms by 2026, up 3.8% year-on-year on average from 849,590 kilograms in 2021. Since 1994, Singapore's demand for the fish has grown 5.4% year-on-year. With exports and imports both set to increase, Singapore is set to become a major trout exporter in the coming years.
