Mozambican imports of Processed Fish are set to fall by 39% to 10,300 tonnes in 2026 from 14,400 in 2021. This follows an annual growth rate of 16.9% since 2005. In 2021, Mozambique ranked 81st in the world for Processed Fish imports, with Kuwait ahead in first place with 14,400 tonnes. Italy, France and Spain were the next leading importers, with 8,500, 6,900 and 5,800 tonnes respectively. Mozambique’s exports of Processed Fish totalled 100 tonnes in 2018, down from 142 tonnes in 2017, a decrease of 29.6% year-on-year. In 2018, Mozambique ranked 94th in the world for Processed Fish exports, with Costa Rica taking the lead with 100 tonnes. Thailand, Slovenia and Spain followed in second, third and fourth place with 96, 67 and 43 tonnes respectively.
