Irish imports of processed fish are set to reach 4.2 million kilograms by 2026 - a 3.1 per cent year-on-year average growth rate since 1997. In 2021, Ireland ranked 37th, with Kazakhstan overtaking with 3.5 million kilograms. Italy, France and Spain were the next three countries in the ranking. Irish processed fish exports are set to fall by 4 per cent year-on-year to just under one million kilograms by 2026. Since 1997, Irish supplies have decreased by 11 per cent annually. In 2021, Ireland was in 38th place, with Latvia ahead with 1.2 million kilograms. Thailand, Slovenia and Spain were the top three countries in the ranking.
