Maldivian processed fish imports are expected to rise to 13,000 kilograms by 2026, according to a recent report. This represents an increase of 3.8% year on year from 2021's 10,000 kilograms. Since 2000, Maldivian demand for processed fish has grown by 41.7% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 116th on the list of countries importing processed fish, with Gambia ahead at 10,000 kilograms. Italy, France and Spain followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
