Demand for Filipina processed fish is set to reach 20.7 million kilograms by 2026, growing 4.3% annually on average since 2021. In 2021, the Philippines ranked tenth in the world, with a demand of 15.9 million kilograms. Germany was the top importer, followed by Italy, France and Spain. Exports of processed fish from the Philippines totalled 16,290 kilograms in 2021, a 61.1% drop from 2020, and have been declining by nearly 10% annually since 2001. The Philippines placed 76th in the world rankings, with Oman taking the top spot. Thailand, Slovenia and Spain followed.
