Jamaica's export of crabs declined by over half in 2021 compared to the previous year. The country's supply of crabs has been steadily decreasing since 2012, now sitting at 23.9% lower than it was nine years ago. Jamaica came in at 61st place in 2021, with Luxembourg overtaking them with 51.47 kilograms. Russia, China, and Bahrain followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively. Jamaican crab import is predicted to decrease by 0.1% annually until 2026, reaching 7,990 kilograms in that year. Since 2004, demand for crabs in Jamaica has grown by 16.4%. In 2021, Antigua and Barbuda had the highest import of crabs, with 8,060 kilograms. South Korea, China, and Japan followed in second, third, and fourth place in that ranking.
