In 2018, Namibia ranked number 34 in terms of import, while Russia, China and Bahrain respectively ranked numbers 1, 2 and 3. Namibia’s crab export is expected to reach 1.19 million kilograms by 2026, down 0.7% annually, according to a recent study. This figure is a decrease of 7% compared to 2005. Greenland topped the list in 2021 with 1.24 million kilograms, followed by Russia, China, and Bahrain. Moreover, Namibia’s crab import declined significantly in 2018, down 81% from the previous year. This marked a 37.7% decrease compared to 2005. Russia, China, and Bahrain were the top importers in 2018, followed by Namibia at 34th place.
