Norway is set to see steady growth in crab exports in the coming years, with an estimated 3.6 million kilograms by 2026. That's up from 3.3 million kilograms in 2021, a 1.3% yearly increase. Since 1998, however, Norway has seen a 10.1% decrease in crab exports year-over-year. In 2021, Mexico overtook Norway with 3.3 million kilograms, while Russia, China and Bahrain ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Norway is likewise expecting increases in crab imports, reaching approximately 0.8 million kilograms by 2026. That's up from 0.6 million kilograms in 2021, a 3.9% yearly growth. Since 1998, Norway has seen a 9.4% yearly increase in demand. In 2021, Slovenia overtook Norway with 0.6 million kilograms, while South Korea, China and Japan ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
