Austria is set to see a slight increase in crab imports over the next five years, with 69,770 kilograms forecasted by 2026. This is a 0.1% year-on-year average growth rate, down from the 0.8% decrease since 1999. The Dominican Republic took the lead in 2021, overtaking Austria's 69,380 kilograms. South Korea, China and Japan respectively followed in second, third and fourth place. Austria's crab exports will grow 3.6% year-on-year on average, from 24,410 kilograms in 2021 to 30,720 kilograms by 2026. Since 1999, Austrian supply has seen a 16.3% year-on-year increase. In 2021, Nigeria overtook Austria's 24,410 kilograms to take the lead, with Russia, China and Bahrain respectively ranking second, third and fourth.
