Russia is set to become the second-largest exporter of crab in the world by 2026. Supply of crab has grown 5.8% year on year since 2001. In 2021, Russia exported 49,806,000 kilograms, putting it in second place behind Canada. China and Bahrain ranked third and fourth respectively. In stark contrast, Russia's import of crab has decreased by 16% year on year since 2001. In 2018, the country imported just 7,000 kilograms, a decrease of 80.5% compared to 2017.
