Korea's paperboard exports are predicted to reach 2.8 million metric tons by 2026, a slight decrease from 2021's 2.75 million metric tons. Since 1977, the supply has dropped by an average of 3.1% each year. In 2021, Italy overtook Korea in production, at 2.75 million metric tons. The United States, Sweden and Finland followed, ranking second, third and fourth respectively. Korea's paperboard imports are expected to grow to 1.23 million metric tons by 2026, a 1.1% average year-on-year increase. Since 1966, the demand has decreased by 1.3% each year. In 2021, Egypt overtook Korea in imports, at 1.15 million metric tons. Germany, the United States and Italy followed, ranking second, third and fourth respectively.
