Demand for paperboard in Bissau-Guinea is set to increase significantly by 2026, according to recent projections. The import of paperboard is estimated to reach 836 metric tons, up from 566 metric tons in 2021, a 3.5% annual growth rate. Since 1966, demand has increased by 17.6% a year. Bissau-Guinea ranked 179th in 2021, just behind the Comoros which imported 566 metric tons. Germany, the United States and Italy respectively occupied the second, third and fourth positions in the ranking. Similarly, Bissau-Guinea's paperboard exports are projected to grow by 1.9% a year to reach 190 metric tons by 2026, up from 168 metric tons in 2021. Supply has grown by 0.1% a year since 2014, with Bissau-Guinea ranking 151st in 2021. Seychelles was ahead with 168 metric tons, followed by the United States, Sweden and Finland in second, third and fourth place.
