Demand for paperboard in the Philippines is expected to increase by 2.3% year-on-year, reaching 1.43 million metric tons in 2026. This is up from 1.24 million metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, Filipino demand has increased by an average of 3.4% year-on-year. The country ranked 19th in 2021, with Japan leading the way at 1.24 million metric tons. Germany, the United States, and Italy were the next three highest-ranking countries in this ranking. Filipina paperboard exports are set to decline by 29.5% year-on-year, to around 3,030 metric tons by 2026. This is down from 21,050 metric tons in 2021. Since 1977, Filipina supply has decreased by an average of 1.7% year-on-year. The country ranked 68th in 2021, with Lebanon leading the way at 21,050 metric tons. The United States, Sweden, and Finland were the next three highest-ranking countries in this ranking.
