Demand for paperboard in Bahrain is set to drop 0.8% year on year, according to figures from 2021. This will mean imports stand at 32,330 metric tons by 2026, down from 31,450 metric tons in 2021. Since 1975, demand has fallen by 8.3% year on year. Bahrain came in at 116th in the 2021 ranking, while Botswana led with 31,450 metric tons. Germany, the United States and Italy followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. Exports of paperboard from Bahrain have also been in decline, with figures from 2021 showing a 28.1% drop compared to 2020. This will mean exports total 346 metric tons this year, down from 481 metric tons in 2020. Since 1997, supply has fallen 15.1% year on year. Bahrain was 136th in the 2021 ranking, while Botswana came first with 346 metric tons. The United States, Sweden and Finland followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
