The import and export of paperboard in French Polynesia is set to decline slightly and increase slightly, respectively, by the year 2026. According to data from 1970, the demand for paperboard in the country dropped by an average of 1.5% year on year. In 2021, it ranked 152nd, overtaken by Venezuela with 4,920 metric tons. The top four countries in terms of paperboard imports were Germany, the United States, Italy, and France. Meanwhile, French Polynesian paperboard exports are projected to rise to 42 metric tons in 2026, growing by an average of 3.7% year on year since 2002. It ranked 175th in 2021, overtaken by Papua New Guinea with 33 metric tons. The United States, Sweden, and Finland took the top three spots in the ranking.
