Over the long term, since 1995, Colombia's coffee supply has increased by an average of 1.7% per year. In 2023, Colombia ranked as the third-largest coffee producer globally. Vietnam surpassed Colombia with an equal production of 15.1 million 60-kg bags, while Indonesia followed closely behind in fourth place. In terms of coffee consumption, Colombia saw a significant drop. In 2017, the country consumed 37,000 metric tons of coffee, but by 2018, this number had plummeted to zero metric tons.
